Welcome to the online presence of the CYO/Youth & Young Adult Ministry Office for the Archdiocese of New Orleans. This site offers many resources and opportunities for those working with junior high youth, high school youth, and young adults to better engage them with their Catholic faith through the vibrant faith community that is the Church. The site is organized into the following major areas: events and programs of the office, resources and support for youth and young adult ministry, and a personalized account area for youth ministers that includes insurance management, discussion forums, and directories. All areas contain downloadable documents and links to further resources.

Youth Ministers' Forum - 2010

The eighth annual meeting for all parish youth ministry coordinators will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2010from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon at Notre Dame Seminary's Shulte Auditorium. Following the Youth Ministers' Forum, beginning at 1:00 PM the official NEW Safe Environment Training will be offered to all.

Because of the introduction of the NEW Safe Environment Training Program , it is necessary that the youth ministry coordinator or other trusted representative familiar with the youth ministry program from each parish attend.

The Archdiocese of New Orleans is proudly hosting the National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry (NCCYM) on December 9-12, 2010. The CYO/Youth & Young Adult Ministry Office is looking for 200 volunteers to help with hospitality tasks.

New Safe Environment Training

The Archdiocese has implemented a new safe environment training program. All adults having regular contact with minors must undergo this new training and a new background check. The old program and background check will not carry over to this academic year. This program is being offered during numerous sessions during the months of August and September by the archdiocese.
